Ugh BORING didn't realise find a good tony story THAT ISN'T about everyone else was gonna be so hard.
Type in tony fanfictions and all you get is ziva focused bullshit or Mcgee focused bullshit! Both need to go fuck themselves both are boring, lake, pathetic characters.

What an amazing read! This has it all, between the excellent case fic and thoughtfully executed exploration of the emotions surrounding Tim's actions and reactions, and also the burgeoning relationship between Tim and Tony.
Season 14 concluded last night, prior to my reading of the last few chapters of this incredible story. I shivered a bit at the end of episode when Tim's courage, bravery and selflessness were highlighted; this story suddenly seemed prescient.
I have been a Tibbs shipper ever since I belatedly discovered NCIS (rectified now by having all available seasons on DVD) and started reading in this fandom. Stories like this, however, make me realize there's room in my shippy little heart for McNozzo/T2 as well. You kept both of them firmly in character and believable...and it worked fantastically well. This was an absolute to joy to read, and I thank you for sharing it. Now I must be off to find more McStories's McStories in which to lose myself for a bit! :D

Searching out some new (to me) NCIS stories and found this in a roundabout way. I have been a Tibbs shipper forever...but recently, via some other stories, started to appreciate McNozzo, aka T2.
Though I normally wait to comment until I've reached the end of a completed work, I had to pipe up here lest I forget to mention it later. You offered up, for me, a spectacular study of Abby as seen through Tony's eyes in this chapter. I like Abby...but, as the seasons have gone on, she seems to have become (imho) increasingly self-centered and needy, though she cares very much about everyone on the team. You highlighted an aspect of her personality here that I find grating at times: her unswerving belief that she knows everyone inside and out- and that she knows what's best for them. You had Tony put her in her place in a caring way...but also in a way that left no room for misinterpretation...and it was masterful. Brava!

Absolutely amazing. If I'm being honest, which I am, I felt like I was reading an actual NCIS episode and not just some writer's plot. While a bit graphic, I can respect that and I just have to say that this was an incredible read. Kudos!
