try using this software called recuva to see if you can recover the files. it is very easy to use. i have used it to get back stuff that were deleted from recycle bin but i have never used it after an erase hard drive but you could try

I find your story very interesting and love how you are writing Veronica's reaction to everything. However there are a few things that are confusing me. One is the time-line, when in the series does this take place. Is it during Veronica's junior year (like towards the end) or is it during Veronica's senior year? The main reason I ask is because there is no Wallace, Weevil, or Mac in this story. You know now that I think about it, that is the only thing that really confuses me. Next, I am not sure if you have to but most of the stories that I have read here have some type of disclaimer. You know stating that you don't own VM and RT does. Just thought that you might want to check on that and maybe add it. I cannot wait to find out who Aaron and his goons are bringing out. I look forward to the next chapter.
