Hi! I read this story years ago when it was still a work in progress, but then I lost interest in fanfiction in general for a while. I came back and realized this story was complete and ended up reading the whole thing again. OMG, you've rekindled my love of Kirk/Spock and Star Trek in general! Your writing is so detailed and flows together so well, it sucks you right in. I remembered why I added this story to my favorites list in the first place!

You have no idea how much I love this story! I just read for I think the fourth time and I thought it would be only fair to leave another comment.
I love the structure, with your long chapters, acts and arcs and how tidy it is like that.
I love the detail you put into every sentence and every small thing describing the people and their surroundings.
I love the accuracy of the characters, that, even if it might not be completely canon, fits just perfectly.
And above all that, I love how you manage to seem funnier and more charming in the small notes you put before the chapters than I could ever in real life. No seriously. It kinda sucks xD Ok, but for real now, I enjoyed reading the notes so much. I would usually skip them or fly over them, but… well, I think you get it.
I also love that you focused more on the bond between them and the love thing than the physical stuff. Every story, in which they exchange tiny gestures (that no one else would even notice) to communicate, I LOVE.
Ok, uhm … yeah, thank you for writing it. Again. And uh… guess I’ll see you in a month, when I’ll be reading Atlas once again.

I can't remember if I ever reviewed this story... I suppose I'll get review-blocked when I try to post this if I did! But I just re-read this story again (an ongoing annual-ish tradition), and wanted to say that it was just as fantastically entertaining, tragic, hilarious, exhilarating, and just plain beautiful as the first time. Man, it makes me wish your story was canon - you expanded on everyone's characters and chemistry so wonderfully, and where you took them all, and where you took Spock and Jim's relationship, just... *chef's kiss* a masterful piece of work. I can see from the date of the last story you posted and the last logged update to your profile that you might not still be around these parts, but if you're still reading your reviews, here's mine on top of the pile of well-deserved thousands that got here before me. This story is spectacular, and I'm so glad to have found it way back, and to be able to keep coming back to it (as I suspect I always will).

Oh… my god… you were killing me here. You know, I really just wanted to read a little story about my friend Spock, whom I knew nothing about.
How could it happen, that after reading this goddamn fic, I’ve started to read into the history of Star Trek, the Easter eggs and backgrounds and actually started to watch the original series?!
I don’t know when, but somewhere along the lines of this story I became obsessed. Obsessed with Spock (who will always be portrayed by Leonard Nimoy for me), obsessed with his friendship with Kirk and McCoy, obsessed in general with every single person on that damn starship.
I wanted to read books. I really did. Yeah… did…
Fascinating…
Well, it is how it is.
Thank you soooo much for writing this gem that I shall always hold close to my heart. Even though I will never forgive you for pushing me all the way down that deep dark hole, I do feel gratitude.

Ok, I read through about a hundred different articles of Star Trek, so now I understand a bit of what’s happening.
Still not much, but reading into this story has been SO much fun anyways!
I love Spock, Kirk, their relationship as well as McCoy (sooo Coll character) and the others.
Plus, I have to laugh every time there is a commentary text at the beginning. Thank you for that!

You know, it doesn't happen often, but once in a blue moon when I feel a bit depressed I Google for the sentence "is this the totality of your plan?" and add the words star trek fanfiction, and your work shows up. To be precise, cheaper 20 of this story. And evey time I read that chapter again I feel the chills again all over. There is such a feeling of love and protectiveness in that chapter, it's overwhelming. Thank you so much for writing this amazing story!
