I generally approach crossovers with trepidation (and often abandon them by the first chapter due to the writing quality) but I'm intrigued by this one. You are remaining well within the realities of the characters and the world of the movie, whilst introducing the new elements.

And I loved how the letter was from Toulouse - makes perfect sense and is true to the film's world, and the letter itself sounds very much like "Toulouse". (The last line "You may decide not to heed this drunkard fool's words..." is delightful and full of character.)
And I think you did a very nice job of spelling out Satine's reasoning to herself - I don't think a lot of writers in this catagory do, because it's a hard notion to grasp (who would willingly give up Ewan McGregor, after all?) I'm interested to see where this one is going.

so i didnt get around to reading it right away but i started. and i am insanely confused. i really need to moulin rouge! cuz it really makes no sense. but i like what i understand. its nice writing and everything. just wish i got it
