Enjoyed reading this story. It actually sounded like a conglomeration of many real lives. Characters that rang true as real people. Though some of them not people I'd ever want to meet. Like Jacob and Renee. Would love to find out she was abandoned just as she abandoned her children.

No murder and/or suicide. A very good thing. Edward is right that Carlisle being abused should have tried harder not to do that to his children. Unfortunately the cycle of abuse is not broken so easily.

So Lauren is pregnant and probably by Jacob. That should cause a few rumors when it comes out. Jacob is going to be in prison for a very long time. Though if Michigan has the death penalty... Don't blame Edward at all for wanting everyone to definitely know it wasn't his. Don't even want to think what's going to be found when Edward goes home. Sounded like Carlisle was having a major crisis. Did he lose his job? Get caught molesting a young girl? What is the possibility he is the father of Lauren's baby? That would not be a pretty picture.

Poor Bella. She's had no one to help her through the emotional and hormonal state that is a teenager. No one to ask for advice. No one to tell her there are people who put on a good act but do not have her best interest in mind. They are out for what they can get and to hell with what's good for her. They're playing games by rules they make up as they go along. She doesn't have a clue what she's doing and it's not her fault. She's going to get in a whole lot of trouble. Emmett hasn't exactly had any training on how to parent a teenage girl either. It's like the blind leading the blind. Wandering through the path of life with no idea how to deal with what they encounter. Let's just hope the trouble isn't catastrophic.

Jacob's already making a move? Or is he trying to be friends? Emmett has found his true love. Will Bella be able to deal with Rose's brother? He obviously has issues. But then so does Bella. She just tends to bury hers so no one can see she's scared and begging for someone who won't abandon her.

Not sure what to think about Charlie and Renee. Condemn them for abandoning their 14 yr old daughter and 20 year old son for no apparent reason? Was there a reason that we might become aware of? Whatever the reason Bella and Emmett are the ones we see suffering. Bella is going to do everything she can to find someone who will love her for who she is. Emmett is probably going to try and prevent that from happening. He's had to take on responsibility he wasn't prepared for and hasn't really gotten a handle on it yet. Curious to find out what Jacob's story is here.
