I've never seen Stargate Atlantis, and I don't read much sci-fi, but I really enjoyed reading this! I'd give you a more detailed review if I didn't have a headache.

Definitely an interesting thought about the blanket of land... tho i do have to say, a little bit more into the concept would help... and I love your portrayal of the dear team.

and I like the "x" to break up the story :)
