A couple of items: Wolves were native to California until Federal bounty programs effectively exterminated them. "Rifle" is not a synonym for "long arm". A shotgun is a smoothbore, no rifling in the barrel. I'm not buying the bottom of Monterey Bay being that cold. (even if you meant Centigrade)

I like the name Guardian. It suits since SGC is to guard Earth.

Adding another person with the prototype abilities essentially created two protagonists and split the focus of the story in a bad way. That's one protagonist too many. I had to stop after a while. It just killed the story.

This fic was abandoned years ago, and no one is likely to read this, but it is so freaking annoying for someone like Xander to just hand over incredibly advanced technology and information, for FREE. This power source is saving the SGC 2 BILLION PER YEAR in costs. I think it'd be quite the deal for him to sell them the technology for half that. No, he just stupidly gives it for nothing, even when he already found a loophole in the NDA he signed. He's got the combined memories from hundreds of people, yet he's acting like a clueless idiot. Might be nice to have an immortal life where you're rich and have a clear source for his wealth.

I don't understand, why is that in most Buffy fanfics, Xander HAS to spill everything to EVERYONE even to new people he meets. Is it laziness on the writer part? So, everyone is magically on the same page ALL THE TIME. It's hard to maintain suspension of disbelief when that happens.

Hmm by giving info to the government Xander had potentially endangered many innocent coexisting supernatural beings to oppression, vivisection and genocide. I wouldn't doubt that pol would cut up magicals like Jenny n Willow n Amy and brings like Oz for the greater good of science.
