No! R'vek can't leave this world yet! He is just too bad ass! I really hope Mortis is THIS time dead.
So far I've been really enjoying this story. Are we close to the end? Since it's kind of looking that way.

Ha! I knew Thel would spare R'vek.
But from that, this has been really good story. And I like the idea that Innocence is actually controlling the Flood, but I have small feeling it's going to back fire sooner or later...

Great job on this chapter!
I think that this is the point where you've clicked with your inner style. It's elegant and descriptive, without being too mouthy. You've also hit the right language and content for this story, you have found the perfect mix of the integrated clothing styles and personalities.
I honestly don't have any constructive criticism for this chapter.

i know that the "metal orb" has about a 99.99% chance of being a Monitor, as there is always a Monitor assigned to each Halo. BTW, what is the instalation number of this Halo, because there are 7 Halos, numbered installation 01 to installation 09, with the Ark being installation 00. And, woot, you didn't kill R'vek! And you made him a Guardian, also woot! *sticks out hand and does a digital fist bump with you*

Great story, really put me in the character's minds and bodies, but I think they were a little too humanized, if you understand what I am saying, i think that the casual clothes might have pushed it a little too far but I don't really know, it helped add a sense of relation to the characters. It's your decision though.

It's been too long. I've forgotten what Guardians are.
Always thought that Sangheili skin colour was due to a kind of pigmentation and wouldn't be affected much by blood loss.
Immediately describing the appearances of the protagonists in such detail feels a little excessive. We shouldn't have to know the details of his weaponry until he has to use them, for example.
Other than that, just glad you're back.
