Although I began reading this chapter yesterday, I just completed it this morning, lying here in bed.
Today is 6-1-2024. Yesterday was 5-31-24. Ten years to the day from when you wrote this chapter. Almost an anniversary. One I did not realize had passed until just now.

I'm sorry but I no longer even minimaly enjoy the story anymore . Honestly I feel that the way you portrayed most of the women is terrible. The drama is more forced than anything, and quite frankly Jean canceling the betrothal is a meaningless and empty threat. It is in design a means to for and enforce a marriage, it's cancelation means nothing unless one party no quits the actual relationship or as an asshole father he forces Fleur into another contract without her consent, which is realistic as he's already done so once.
Once again Harry's life experiences are downplayed as meaningless.
Sirius kicking Snape's ass was cool though, don't ever really see that.

To the idiot flamer that should have stopped reading after chapter 1.
The counter curse that dolohov used was not countered, it was simply healed as much as possible. It is canon that a dark curse can be treated successfully and at times like a non dark cursed wound if the counter is first applied prior to healing. Additionally, this is fanfic and jkr didn't care enough about the story to provide mechanics about 90% of anything mentioned in any of the books so stop being a fucking moron. If you want canon go read JKRs books.

I have to say that was a very stupid one sided beat down for Harry. It seems like everyone is more focused on their feelings and their wants and desires than anything Harry is feeling or wants.
So far this entire story has focused on Harry's faults and forcing him to comply with others in every way vs a meeting in the middle. Betrothal, two girls, club, horcrux and horcrux hunting. Even the prophecy trap he had to fight tooth and nail for. No one even bothers with his upbringing and his four years at school that has shaped him. If he was a normal child then all that he's done is very off, but he isn't. He's only been loved openly for a few months. He's only discovered what being part of a group that cares beyond basic friendship is like for barley 6 months.
Lastly, he caves in way to easily for his upbringing and mindset, then again it is why they can berate him so easily. To put this in perspective, it's like getting a new step-parent you barley know asserting their authority, morals, and expectations when you've never experienced anything beyond hate or general dismissal from those previously in such a position. Dumbledore doesn't count he sent h back to his personal hell repeatedly and was responsible for it to begin with even in this story, which was completely ignored just like the Dursleys treatment. Sirius received therapy but no one has ever bothered to ensure Harry's mental health and once betrothed the focus has only been on confidence building.

Malfoy cast Sectumsempra ONCE. Hermione should have ONE, very bad, deep cut, shoulder to pelvis, which is really, really bad, but that is it. Sectumsempra does not gash you over and over, multiple times.
And dittany- didnt do crap for her curse scar in Canon. She still had a diagonal scar the NEXT scoop year, if I'm remembering correctly. It might not have been book 6 I read that.
After 1900 HP fanfics, I might run them together.
