This is such a lovely story. It is well written, and I do appreciate that the main event of "the missing chapter" of Kay's book was written in a very modest way. (nothing graphic. Thank you.)
While I am very fond of Raoul in this section of the Kay book, and admire him very much as he matures and grows, I really missed in the Kay book what you provided so beautifully, and that is Erik and Christine's perspective of the events of the final chapters of the book. I especially love "fairy tale" stories Erik and Christine tell each other as they "plan" their future and family. I also particularly thought your final chapter was excellent, as you wrote what Christine's final chapter would be, had she been given a voice in the final section of the Kay book.
Overall, your story fit in so well with the Kay version.
Now you have me wondering: what is Nadir's perspective on his new knowledge?

I feel incredibly ashamed, and I'm so sorry! I haven't reviewed once this entire story, but I followed it faithfully. It was just...so incredible. I loved all of it.
And this was the first fanfiction to ever make me cry-ever. I mean, I've read some pretty sad ones, but this one just made me break into some tears. Thank you, thank you so much for completing this. I've loved every chapter.
Again, sorry for not reviewing. I just hate getting my hopes up for a good story and then finding it turn into some smut-fest. Yours was incredibly tactful and just so well-written. Thank you!

This was a good chapter. I love Kay's Nadir. I love love love him. Love him so much. *snuffles* Anyway... So I liked him a lot in this chapter, and the way Erik reacts to Christine around him. This is really good!

I REALLY like the idea that she put his name instead of Raoul's. At first, I thought, "That's a little corny..." but then Erik's reaction was so perfect, so priceless, that I couldn't help but think of what a clever plot point that was.

That... that's so sad and sweet. Updating? Or is it finished? Great story either way.

So sad... But beautiful. My heart broke as I read this. As someone who has lost someone dear to them, I can say that I thought you wrote this chapter very well. The variety of Christine's emotions...how she reacts to his imminent death...it all struck me as very realistic. I cried for her. Well done - this story has been excellent (if very sad).

i'm crying right now! like legitely crying!
I wish so much that Erik didn't die and i hope Christine doesn't go off with Raoul, even if that was Erik's dying wish. But the happy thing is that she was able to accept Erik's death, *still crying* and was able to move on. the last line was just so absolutely perfect!
i hope so much that you write more stories! this was absolutely perfect!
looking forward to whatever you may write next.

Bittersweet. It is always this way for me at the end of Kay's book. I'm glad Christine comes to maturity and is able to give to Erik what he has waited his entire life for. Yet, twenty-four hours of happiness doesn't seem fair compared to half a century of pain and angst. Still, life isn't fair so it isn't untruthful. It is very well written and the emotions appear to come off the page into the reader's heart and mind. You truly feel for these characters and that is always a sign of a good writer to me. Thank you for such a beautiful work.
