So far, this is actually a pretty good story. I like the way the character is tough without being a perfect clone of max (becuase that is annoying and overdone).
Art sounds pretty amazing. :)
My only suggestion would be to describe things more, but otherwise really good begginning.

I am an absolute sucker for OC stories. So here I am. I am willing to commit and review every chapter (taking my own sweet time doing it, though) as long as you update. :) I like your OCs so far, but I will tell you if they get too Mary Sue. I need to see some character flaws. :D But I like where this is heading.
