Haven't been on fanfiction in a while (first time since last year) so really glad I discovered this one! Possibly one of the first homelessness stories I've read on here. Loving this story more than I thought I would. Can't wait to read more! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I liked Angela in this chapter for the most part. She drove it home possibly a little more than she needed about warning Edward not to hurt her friend. Loved the fact that Edward has a phone now and they are applying for official documents for him. Glad he is going to reach out to his mom too and let her know he is ok. Alice may have already told her. Doing this might bring Carlisle back into his life too. Maybe he’s changed and regrets the things he said to his only son. There may be a chance of a reconciliation there.
So Edward didn’t follow orders one time in order to protect a child got him kicked out...seems harsh. I guess it’s subjective; some commanders would choose to give him an oral reprimand, punishment, or demotion rather than lose a usually disciplined, rule following and well trained soldier. They wouldn’t have wanted to lose him or ruin his career. I think there is still more to this story than has been revealed to us.

So that’s what Edward did with his time in addition to going for smokes and blowing off some steam. This is the first story I think I’ve read in which Edward and Jasper were not friends. At least Ed is still close with Alice. Now how cold Charlie has not made an appearance? I know they live far apart but there have been no phone calls between them or anything. I don’t understand why Bella would move so far away when she even went to school in Washington too. I hope Charlie shows up at some point.

Edward knew Bella was worried that he wouldn’t come back so why would it take so long for him to get the cigarettes and return to her? He should have been back in five or ten minutes. He could have showed her he was back and was going to go out to smoke and then he could have smoked as he paced back and forth in front of the house. These two have got to cut the crap and declare themselves already.

Jasper seems like a pompous ass, all military is rightness and judgy with Edward. Is he forgetting how happy is wife is about finding out her brother is alive and how much she wants to reconnect with him. Doesn’t he get that she adores her brother dnd wants him back in her life dnd for that to be the case doesn’t that mean he must be a good person and maybe he should just shut up and give Edward the benefit of his doubt. And I imagine the army wanted zefward to do something he would not do and he disobeyed orders.

I’m glad he is not going to give up on his treatment. I think it will help him and then he will be able to tell his girl he loves her out loud.

Glad Bella told Edward why she contacted Alice and that he was ok about it. Glad Edward at least thought about reaching out to his family should he need their financial support for himself or for Bella and the baby before he heard Alice’s voice on the phone. I hope Alice keeps her word and doesn’t bring their parents as well. Sounds like Bella and Edward are going to have a good talk and get to know a few things more about each other. I wonder how often Bella speaks with her dad? I hope when we do hear from him that he gets along with Edward.
