I've never read or seen the zoids manga or anime series, but your story makes me interested in them. I think the not so happy ending works, although I don't know details on what happened first hand or anything.
You might want to go back and fix a the errors that have been mentioned, would make the story easier to read. Also, specifically the use of the word "where" instead of "were" in a few locations won't be picked up by a spell checker. In the first chapter some words seemed rather repetitive, which could lose some of your readers.
Keep up the writing because I enjoyed it (as do other people, its seems) :)

You know, the way you wrote this makes me very much think of the post-WW2 era. What was left of Zi after the Deathsaurer's destruction seems very similar to what became of Europe several decades ago.
Anyway, this was definitely a very interesting read. The only errors I noticed were a lack of a few commas here and there that made some sentences sound odd.

Well, this looks like fun. You've set up a lot of different mini-plots...for me anyway. Fiona's work, Van and Irvine's various jobs, Moonbay's delieveries and the various political happenings. I hope you plan on exploring all of them haha.

Nice to see something dealing with the aftermath of such a battle, though, and humans not being so cuddly-accepting of things. We can be xenophobic bastards when we want to be, especially when people want an easy target for blame.
Small typo/name issues: You've got a Rudulph where you want a Rudolph. Hiltz is also a more common spelling than Hilts.

Welcome to the zoids section!
I like where this is going, it's great that for once we're seeing a sequel fic that isn't all 'and everyone lived happily ever after.' Something tells me Raven and Reese wouldn't have gotten off with a slap on the wrist after all they had done (even after they helped in the end) and people tend to forget the absolute destruction the Stinger and Saurer caused on the two countries. On that note it will be interesting to see what you do with that pair. :P You have the beginnings a logical and well thought out plot here and I can't wait to read more! :D

~Typos, a few typos especially watch your where/were. A quick read through or spell check can fix this.
~Rating, I assume you're planning some mature content hence the rating but you may want to pull this down to a teen rating for the time being and note that it will be bumped up to a mature rated fic later. Just a suggestion to get more reviews/ views, we're a small community here and I don't think a lot of people click for the mature rated fics on a regular basis, though I could be wrong. ^^;;
Anyways, good stuff here, I'll be watching for more. Update soon!
