Sigh...so, I need to figure out what's going on in the show...but I loved this nonetheless, especially the last paragraph or so. You've really captured the emotion so beautifully-and, I'm assuming, in Buffy's voice. Kudos! :)

Wow. Just wow. You did an awesome job at giving us a look into Buffy's state of mind. I think a lot of people tend to dismiss Buffy's heart ache at the time and say Aw she was heart broken. They don't ever realize just how much dependance she had on him. Yes he was her first love I get that. But he was also so much more. He was her stability. With him she wasn't alone and you nailed that. You also nailed the despair and the physical reactions as well. I think every girl that's believed a man was going to be there forever has felt this pain and I know Buffy was no exception.
