wow, um, what a way to start a story! no pulling punches, no? i cannot wait for the next chapter! more! i want more! :)
you have such a way with description. it's like you are painting the picture in my head. "I had no idea how I'd ended up in this purgatory, this suspended state of blurred reality, strung somewhere in the gray area between wakefulness and sleep." - this is just wow.
i was in a wreck two years ago. a drunk driver hit me when i was driving home from a friends house. some stitches and a broken collarbone. not so bad but the collarbone HURT!

Great start. I really like stories in EPOV and I'm enjoying your other stories so I'm looking forward to this one. I have been in a car accident, luckily nobody got seriously hurt. It was rather spectacular though. We were driving a small car and were hit in the flank by a large SUV. Our car started sliding up the sidewalk. While trying to avoid hitting a pedestrian, my husband managed to total 6 cars, including a Ferrari. But he wasn't to blame, so the other guy had to pay for six new cars, including a splendid new one for us. Regards, Nathalie (Belgium)

This first chapter was fantastic and compelling. From all the jumbled smells and sounds in his half-conscious state, to the subtle looks of sadness in the nurse's eyes... All in Edward's POV... A broken Edward... YOU, Ms. Katinki are a drug to me :)
I have a friend who killed someone in a car accident... this girl in the other car who she collided with. It's been such a struggle for her to move on. A devastating experience to come to terms with, how irreversible the situation is, feeling worthless and undeserving of any speck of happiness, consumed by guilt and depression - its a very dark place to be.
I'm curious what inspired you to write this new story.

Yes, I've been in an accident, but it wasn't as bad as Edward's it seems. I walked away sore and cut up but that was it. The guy in the other car broke an arm and leg.

I have been in 2 car accidents, it only totaled the car, no harm to me. And another time I hit a deer that jumped in front of me.
My daughter was in a major car accident, she was hit on the driver side of the car, in the back door, and miraculously did not have any broken bones or need surgery, but she needed to be in a wheelchair for 2 months. Being so young, she recovered really well.

I am so excited! Ever since you teased us in ALNM with this, I've been waiting! And no disappointment! Great first chapter! I love how you are bringing in the imagery and visual style you use in DG&TM. That dream/delirium sequence was amazingly vivid.
Can't wait to see where you take us!
Car wreak? Yes, unfortunately. 2 major ones actually. Neither were my fault. 1 just gave me whiplash. The other I was almost thrown from the car - wear seatbelts!

I know that sounds harsh, but so often it's a girlfriend or wife which brings up different issues when it comes to any kind of relationship with Bella. I cannot wait to see where you're going with this one.
