Hum... I likesies. :) Nice work - doing one of these Doctor-and-Master-at-the-Academy-together fics and actually making a decent job of it! I get very cynical about that sub-genre usually, but you've done it very well, in my humble opinion.
And I agree - insanity, as a theme, is fascinating. (I listen to far too much Pink Floyd for my own good!) It's more of an allegory/metaphor in my own writing, but I like to check out the literal interpretations every now and then.
