for MUSEings Over Coffee

So I don't know what exactly I was expecting, but this wasn't it. I need to start reading the genre tags. For reals. Because I totally didn't realize this was gonna be funny. But holy crap it was funny.

Yes, I said I was gonna review Pastime. Turns out, I (meaning my husband) didn't save it to my computer. So I have to get it tonight. Probably around the time that he's sending this. But I *am* gonna read and review it 'cause I went to the Source of all WoW info and demanded information (which he gave me). Anyway, onto muses and musings.

So, I like the fact that you don't just have the "O Muse, goddess of immortal arts and coolness." You've got some of the actual 9 muses (I know Thalia specifically because of a book series I read in middle school, where Erato, Polyhymnia, and Thalia were supposed to get sent to Athens, Greece, in 2000 BC, but got sent to Athens, Georgia in 2000 AD by accident). I like that you hint at the fact that you're gonna write something else, but you don't say what (only that Clio is involved, hehehe). I also love how you blame the whackiness of "I Kissed a Predator" on Thalia. Lol. Muse of Comedy. It's basically like, "It wasn't me! Blame her! And darn it, Thalia, stop whispering your whacked out ideas into my head! I'm trying to enjoy my freaking coffee!"

So 3AM, huh? Why were you up that late/early? You sound like me, lol. I've been up since about 10:30PM Sunday night, lol. =D

I likes. Is cute and funny. I don't think anything will be as epical and lyrical as Red Under the Moon, but I think that might be more because of the love you have for the fairy tale shining through, and not an actual difference in skill. This sounds like you had fun, though, hee hee. I'm not really a fan of comedy, but I like this (and "I Kissed a Predator," though I was so sad it was a parody, as you know, lol). It's funny and I've been grinning since I started. Favoriting. =D

*laughs* After starting to write this review a half dozen times, that's what it boils down to. Writer's-brain-on-coffee-and-early-morning-hours = scary funny.

lol This is great stuff. So you talk to the voices in your head too, huh? Thought I was the only one who did that. ;D

Thankies for the shout-out!
