I really like this story so far!
I really hope you update soon. I want to know more about Suzuki and her past with Hijikata. I think she and Saito are a cute pair but I also think she and Sano would make a cute pair as well lol
I think it would be a good twist if she was able to find cure for Okita's illness since I personally feel bad that in many of the fan fictions I've read they have had him die of his illness. I think it would be a good twist if you made it so he didn't die.
I also like seeing this softer side of Hijikata that Suzuki seems to bring out of him, he seems to be very protective of her like a little sister so I think if you choose to you should have a scene where Suzuki gets seriously injured in a battle protecting Hijikata or she could get very sick/poisoned where then Hijikata and the other members of the shinsengumi would have to fight an enemy with in a time frame to be able to save her.
I also remembered that the scene where Suzuki was shooting the arrows they saw that she had a sad look in her eyes, I would like to know more about that and about her past. what happened after/ or to cause her and Hijikata to not see one another after all that time.
Anyway I love your story, its interesting and suspenseful. I have so many questions and so many thoughts so I really hope you will continue to write chapters for this story cause now that I've started reading it I just can't stop lol :)

Very interesting beginning! As much as I am not too much a fan of Chizuru I do love the boys. Everything Shinsengumi is up my alley. And I don't know if you've noticed, but no matter what anime/manga you read Saitou - and in all his different forms- is to die for.
