I absolutely HATE infidelity in general especially reading about it in fanfics. Yet somehow I stumbled across your story and was intrigued enough to read it. Furthermore I discovered I actually enjoyed reading this. A lot of fan fictions have drama just for the sake of drama that’s frivolous. However your drama had character building, deep introspective reflections, and I feel like your characters came out better having gone through their trails and tribulations. No one was perfect just because they were beautiful or rich. Everyone had issues even the picture perfect couples. Thanks for writing this story it is amazing.

So, I don't think "everything is split in half" is quite that literal.
Bella was entitled to half of Edward's earnings (not his trust, but his earnings) because she was his support.
Just because Riley might marry Bella doesn't mean he automatically gets half the $ (that she had before their relationship)when they divorce.
