There seems to be a lot of intrigue in this chapter, and i'm looking forward to seeing where it is headed.
I noticed a few typos such as, 'composer' which i guess should read 'composure,' but all in all it's pretty good. For a first fic it comes across as remarkably confident.
As for the lack of reviews, i know it can be really disheartening, but sometimes people only read and review larger fics. Once you have posted a few more ch's, you'll find people who will regularly r&r your fics, as well as any you may write in the future. It is disappointing at first, but don't worry, it will get better. So please, please, don't give up! 'Cus i wanna know what happens...;)

Wow, what a start! I love how you opened the chapter, and the longing and sadness that came through so strongly.
I'm a big fan of Riddick/Jack fics and it's nice to see Riddick experiencing some real emotion! I'm off to read your other chapters now...;)

I feel you. It's frustrating to pour yourself into something and not get a response. For what it's worth, I don't tend to spend a lot of time reviewing works by people who haven't given me reviews. Henry Jenkins once observed, I think correctly, that fan fiction is a gift economy. Those require a certain amount of reciprocation to function. Dunno if that's how other people think.
You might try over at VinExperience. That's got a lot more dedicated Riddick fans, and the board format makes it easier to give reviews.
I hope you continue, but I totally, personally, understand that frustration.

This story is starting of very interesting... I think as you unfold more chapters and we see what direction your going it will be even better. Has tones of different ways and potential to go any way... im loving the suspence...
