I am in love with this story, and how you managed to bring about a happy ending that was not lacking in it's emotional intensity and impact. There were some very dark themes in this story, and hardships and misunderstandings that the characters had to overcome before they could find happiness. And that's what made the ending all the more worthwhile to me.

I too am a fan of happy endings. Like you I believe there is already enough tragedy in the world. So why go and read a story that will only bring you down more? But you also write in your fic the importance of overcoming hardship and tragedy in order to reach a worthwhile happy ending. Because nothing is more meaningful then happiness found at the end of a long hard road. It makes it believable. It makes it solidified, grounded, and respected.

And I truly respect the story you wrote here. I love the Sheik/Link pairing, but more often than not people either write it to end tragically, or write it to end up lacking. But your story was not found wanting in my eyes. I truly treasure the time, effort and thought you put into this. That you kept the characters true to themselves. That the fic itself had detail and structure put into it that many other authors fail to write or take into account.

And I cannot be more grateful to see that someone else understands and values the need for romance and happy endings in the way I do. So for this story, and all the emotions it managed to spark within me, thank you. Thank you so much for writing this beautiful, brilliant, heartwarming and touching piece of written art. I am truly grateful.

(and I hope you will write more of this pairing, because it's amazing what you can do with it).

This... is awesome! Probably the best Sheik/Link story I've read. Your portrayal of Sheik and Link were great, and without unnecessary run on sentences, or ill- timed humor. It stayed interesting, and put me on edge. Making characters feel alive, animated, and true. Often times, I find monologue's tiresome, but not Sheik's. And the logic you used for situations and explanations made sense and were highly agreeable. I also love how it had a happy ending too! They're the best! It's a little sad to see the indirect sequel not complete, but I'm so satisfied with this piece, it doesn't matter. Kudos to you :D

I don't often review stories, but this one I had to. I have been searching for a story much like this with Link and Sheik in a complete male form. (How it is meant to be...! .) I loved it the whole way through, especially the last chapter~~ I'm So Very Glad To Have Read Your Story! It was awesome~~~ Soooo going on my Favorites~

oh oh! I have to say

you sure gives me gigantic mood swing

from desperation then to anxious last to joyfulness

what a torture you have upon my mind and poor sheik

but it was a good one, a really fantastic one

and oh-so-really-well did you manage to write every inch detail, EVERY INCH

you sure did blush the whole audience and yourself don't you?

and for laughing out loud, my favorite part of this piece is that you actually manage to do a zelda-rian(which reminded me of 'shakespearian') tone through out the whole story, giving it the right tone

what more could I say? It was good, very very well done!

I sure am camping at this place, for quite a while XD

So I blushed like a schoolgirl over that last chapter. And am still blushing now. DAAAAAAMN.

Anyways, I must admit that I was hesitant to read this story since the contents were so dark. But you dealt with the subject matter in a way that was...honest? Like, it wasn't trying to make what happened to Sheik into anything but a vile deed.

I also loved the blend of canon and your own interpretations. And thanks for the Author's Notes, since it's been ages since I played the game and often found myself thinking, "When did that happen?"

Anyways, I enjoyed the story. Hope to read more from you in the future!
