Nitrogen cannot replace oxygen. Nitrogen is innert and oxygen is a reactive non metal and is a oxidizer. Nothing alive that breaths even if it’s through the skin can breath in nitrogen thats like saying you can survive in a argon rich atmosphere they are both innert gases. Point is its annoying sifi bs thinking nitrogen is somehow useful to alien life somebody wrote probablh decades ago and still happens to this day. Specific environments like this happen on earth in saves and they are lifeless besides bugs that can use what little air there is
