I'm probably just being really dense but I didn't get why the taxi driver's name was so strange - a reference I'm missing, probably :D
I love the idea of the boys down in Baja, but I think it will take a leetle more than that for Flynn to get over his crush!

I think it's horrible that they made poor Sanchez interview the bad smelling guard. LOL. And the old man is very funny and he means well with Flynn, I think. I hope they don't find the head though. How spooky is that? lol.

Great start! Loved the banter between the characters, the Crime Story reference (used to love that show), and the descriptions are amazing. The house sounds like something out of a creepy horror movie. While I'm not familiar at all with the show (no cable and my computer refuses to allow me to watch video on it), this is written so that I can follow along without knowing much about the characters. The Freudian slip Dick Glanders was hilarious, and the idea of the enormous set of dick and nuts as a sculpture was funny. Sounds like it fits the decor of the house nicely. I'm interested in how this plays out, I love well-written mysteries. Are you basing this on an actual old cold case from Hollywood? If you are, which one? Hollywood has and still does have a way of covering up the seamier sides of Hollywood life.

Provenza with the phallic symbol, priceless! LOL. Tao pawning off the bad smelling guard to Sanchez, it's a guy thing. LOL Not sure Provenza's pep talk did anything to help Flynn out. Funny chapter. Good job on moving the story along.

I thought I had reviewed this chapter. Sorry. When did you go over to the dark side. LOL! Provenza cracks me up! When a man notices a woman's sweaters, heels and legs and then gives her his coat? There definitely is sex in the air. Can't wait to see how it unfolds for Brenda and Flynn. Murdered guy's back ground is shaping up nicely. I'm still reading.

I just love Flynn and the old guy. They make me laugh. The story is confusing but I'm sure you will clear it up soon. In the mean time, I am enjoying listening in on the two funny guys. I hope Flynn doesn't try to hurt Brenda's relationship with Fritz.

I'm hooked. Any story with Flynn and Provenza is going to be a good one, but that aside. I like the murder mystery too. Errie sitting, storm and Flynn doing nice little things for the Chief. Love is in the air or knowing you, and I know I speak for the entire company when I say I hope I do, sex as well? You've never let us down before. LOL!

Aw, they are so cute together!
I love Provenza looking out for Flynn and worrying how this whole thing will turn out. (Although, I disagree with him about Fritz being a better 'fit' for Brenda... :P )
Can't wait to see how they get it together ... and I think that Flynn can be a Class Act when he wants ;-)

Heh, this is one interesting crew. Mob connections, sexual inuendos abound...Not to mention personalities that are an imperfect match.
Then the history of the 'deceased' or skull at any rate. The chilling mansion, nasty weather and being underdressed. How unseasonal for Brenda and Flynn...I can relate... Just keeps gettin' gooder and gooder as my old 'Batist' preacher was fond of saying.
Take us through the curves and give us the goods..it's a good one.

Ooooh!
Okay, 'The Closer' plus Old Hollywood equals one very, very happy fangirl! (Funnily enough, I had a plot bunny for a cold case involving Old Hollywood but, um, yeah, in the light of this story I think we'll just let that bunny go...)
I love how the squad were all revealed as movie buffs. And I absolutely adored the fizz between Brenda and Flynn - very believable and very in-character for them both.
I love the start of this and can't wait to see where it's going. Hurrah for more Brenda/Flynness!
(BTW - I will be pimping this at the LJ Brenda/Flynn community :D )

I loved the banter between Provenza and Flynn - it was spot on! "Kiss ass" - HAHA!
I really enjoyed the little things like, Brenda using Flynn to steady herself, Flynn complimenting Brendas shoes, Flynn giving her his coat, how she made yummy sounds when eating Ding Dongs (though I personally think it should have been HoHo's, lol)
I could see why the giant phallic symbol was a conversation piece - good grief! How big was that thing? And where can I get one? Loved the name slip by the way - Dick Glanders. LOL!
