Interesting chapter... so they're off to Wave and the Deamon Brothers didn't attack because there are two jounin instead of just one...
For your question in your end notes; I say let Zaubza and Haku live... it makes for an interesting story when you depart more from established cannon while keeping the general story, and fits with Naruto's natural ability to draw people together if they end up being allies at some later point... but in the end the descision is still yours.
