I just wanted to thank you for coming back to this story. I’ve been on a Potter fanfic binge recently, and discovered this quite accidentally - simply by sorting for popular stories (by reviews) and seeing which synopses piqued my interest.
It is no exaggeration to say I read this for most of the last 36 hours as effectively straight through as possible (I write this in bed at 04:59 on a work night, and I will only regret the effects tomorrow, not my choice).
I’m posting my first ever review primarily as a thank you. I often found myself laughing aloud, smiling, or tearing up throughout the course of my read-through, and I can say I genuinely enjoyed your story as much as any published work I’ve ever read. I know you cannot profit from this work, and it was done out of a labor of love - so I thank you for that.
It’s not at all uncommon that I’m sorely disappointed by a wonderful piece that was abandoned a decade ago. Seeing the disparity between original publishing date and the most recent update was a huge surprise.
I don’t believe it’s disingenuous to say that your piece will stand out to me for, above all else, making me jealous of the love that the Potters share in your story. I don’t know that I’ve ever read a portrayal of love that felt so natural and genuine; I hope that your inspiration isn’t far from your daily life. I can honestly say I will personally aspire to emulate your depiction of Harry’s love; it’s truly an inspiration.

I really don't see ANY justification Dumbledore could use to justify 80 MILLION galleons. A few thousand to support laws "harry would support", maybe, but 80 million is simply mind boggling.

I love the idea of using the brooms. It really is a sensible option. And as a bonus, the fact that all 4 of them use the same method that Harry did in the 1st task also makes a mockery of Skeeter (and Karkaroff).

This is supposed to be Harry/Fleur but after their marriage you put too much focus on Hermione who seemed t ALWAYS be there and kept inserting herself into things that doesn't concern her, ging Harry and Feleur NO time to themselves t progress their relationship. Something it seems she never stopped doing seeing as you tarnished this story in your epilogue by making it a threeway. Going completely against what you had previously written.
It seems that after the decade when you came back your tastes have changed so you did what you could to please the Harry/Fleur shippers but also added your own tastes with Hermione maybe unintentionally.
I am admittedly biassed as I despise Hermione and her being added automatically ruins a story for me, especially when she is not needed. Oh and you really pulled bisexual Fleur out your ass to have Hermione accepted since for 47 chapters there was ZERO indication she was anything but straight.

Ok, one criticism, but padfoots behaviour is very out of place here, as is Fleur and Harry's reaction. Imagine if he had knelt down and started licking at her crotch in HUMAN form. That's assault, not a laughing matter. Its fine when dogs do it because they don't have any concept of things like that, but humans do. IMO its worth removing it completely and writing a different way of interrupting, cause that's super jarring. It doesn't change my love of this story or anything, but I had to mention it.

Wow! Even though it's been around for a while this story is new to me and I'm REALLY enjoying it so far. I wish I'd known about it sooner. Thank you for taking the time to write it. I'll be looking into your other stories as well.

your view of politics, and by this i mean the whole thing from ministry to wizengamot and everything it entails, mirror the muggle world to a T. that is weird and just does not fit with canon nor with common sense, this organisation has been stagnant since its inception(1700) while that was earlier than the muggles it has never changed.
magic means you can live without really working, especially with an house elf working your gardens supplying your daily needs. that means no taxes, no taxes means no ministry to pay from. thus it is payed from donations and meager taxes making it essentially a private organisation working for the wizengamot. you think this wizengamot would allow their own organisation to patrol them through things like child care?
