Crappies are fish. I have some, from a local lake, in my freezer. But it's pronounced "croppy," not "crappy.". I like to think your computer is doing its best to reward you with a fine dinner.

I like Hermione and Fleur being friends. Very good, beneficial to both of them.

Excellent use of the pensieve.
I don't mind JKR's use of traditional themes of children's literature. An orphaned or abused child, for instance, is not treated the same in children's lit as in adult books. Adult stories show the abused character as learning to deal with his childhood trauma, or as permanently crippled by it. Children's lit uses being orphaned or abused as a plot device. They have to get rid of that living family in order to throw the protagonist into mortal danger. But they don't want to deal with actual mental difficulties caused by abuse. It's a story for kids, so the rules are different. Things are often played for laughs, like Neville being dropped out of a window, that would never be considered funny in real life.
But fanfiction is mostly read by adults.
Thank you for sharing this.

Personally, I always want to see Harry/Hermione. But since that's not happening, I don't want to see some Tristan/Yseult tragedy. I like Hermione being knowledgeable and also wise and nature. Ron, well, he is jealous by nature. No argument from me on that

I really like Sebastian. No nonsense, no tolerance for evil.

This was an absolute treat to read. My goodness, thank you so much for taking time out of your life to share this story. I can't imagine the strength of will it took to return to it after more than a decade, as I have trouble continuing stories I wrote more than a year ago.
Your writing is superb, and the characterization you gave all of the beloved HP characters is fantastic. Though I will never be a fan of bashing characters (Ron and Dumbledore), I find that I don't mind how you did it, as their actions honestly don't feel like an impossibility for their canon counterparts.
I love Harry and Fleur so much, so truly and again, thank you for writing, sharing, and finishing this lovely story.

I have loved the tone of your story: even when characters get their comeuppance there are reasons, and your characters develop their thoughts with reasons rather than keeping the capslock held down.
Thank you so much for such a thoroughly well thought out story.
My own daughter stopped writting fan fiction due to "flames"; I'm sorry that you have had to put up with such appalllingly rude behaviour. On the other hand I am thrilled that I have had the chance to read this, and to read it for free! Thank you.

Good story so far, however, please fix the very broken french. I doesn't event mean something 90% of the time. A google translation would have been way better than what appears to be a word by word translation. French and English are very different languages grammatically so if you take an English sentence and just replace the English word by their french literal translation you will just be yielded with garble.
For example the "Ai-je pour vous?" from bridgeable at the start of the chapter is totally nonsensical for any french speaking person the translation of that sentence in english would be "Have I for you?" and that doesn't make a lot of sense doesn't it? The translation of "Can I keep you?" or "Can I have you for myself?" would be "Je peux te garder pour moi? " or "Puis-je t'avoir juste pour moi?".

I was just reading the through the responses at the end of the chapter and that bit about arresting a US president… wow… I doubt it was meant to be but way to accurate
