Boy, old Dumbles really is on a power trip. I hate that he got the drop on Severus. I hope Jareth corrects that issue soon. I was sad for him as well - he lost two more links to his family here.
It always bothered me in the series that Dumbledore was too lazy and caught up in his quest for the Hallows to deal with Riddle himself in the beginning. Instead, he relied on a prophecy and manipulated children.
Nice update.

I've really enjoyed the original back-story and characterizations. James never did strike me as the brightest bulb in the bunch and you played on that nuance nicely. Sad to see Lily is gone - I was enjoying the budding interaction between her and Sarah. I look forward to more when you have it.
