Really good. I have lost much of my faith in recent years to the hipocracy of it all, but this is actually making me want to pull out/dust off my Bible and read; study and interpret for ME, and make my own analysis, not what someone else feeds me.

the beginning was so heartwrenching, i wanted to crawl up into a ball and cry for Quinn. and the Rachel comes to her aid, all perfect girlfriend and prepared to comfort Quinn. they're so perfect together.

Wow amazing story and love how you had rach come in there. Might have needed a bit more of a start. Sounds like rach was with her when she told but just left her alone? Or was she at rachs when she left.

this story just reminded me why I haven't been able to leave the Church for longer than a few months. It made the looks I get when my family embraces to show each other peace in Mass worth it. It reminded my of the reasons why I still want to raise my kids in the Church. Thank you for this, seems to have come at the right time.
Be well (and may the Lord bless you and keep you)

OMG, this was short but I fell in love with it. The message it has got to me so hard. I haven’t read the entirety of the Bible, but I somehow believe that Jesus never said anything about Homosexuals or did he?
I just love how you delivered everything. Beautiful I must say. Thank you for the very nice read.

Magnificent!
By the way, the verse from the Song of Solomon is also the one my sister chose for her wedding.

D'awh! Anytime a homophobic Catholic starts yapping, I'm tempted to send them this. It's just so cute! ^_^

I forgot how brilliant this story was. In desperate need of a re-read, I went to my favorites list and was shocked to realize it wasn't on there! The situation has been remedied.
I love the way you use language here. There are lines that anchor past to present, bringing into focus Quinn's inner turmoil. It's natural she'd turn to the passages she did first. But even more natural is Rachel, sitting behind her, countering with verses of love.
She would. She would research. She would, not for herself, but for QUINN. "I knew that it would… hurt you." Such depth of love and caring expressed through so little.
Absolutely marvelous, I'm in awe of this little ficlet every time I read it. Thank you so much.

Well, first, Hi! nice to meet you :) was a pleasure to read your story, was so pleasent that I translated your creation to my language, spanish :) but, I've a trouble, a comparison that you did and I don't get it yet. so, if you can help me, I'll finish it and I will appreciate it so much. :)
Would you like to help me with it?
"I found the evidence against, and beat it like Michael Jackson with evidence for."
I know that you mean something like you found evidence against and won the battle because bible is contradictory with itself, but I don't understand the Michael Jackson's part :S soooo, if you want to tell me what you mean, I'll fix it or something like that.
Well, thanks, lovely story, I guess you caught that, because I love it so much that I needed to have in my language. Sooo, good writer, wonderful story, the best couple :D 3 congratulations!

This was brilliant. It was so well paced and brimming with such raw emotion. I love the passages you picked; the bible is full of contradictions and wisdom. It's actually quite a fascinating read if you leave your politics at the door.
Thank you for sharing this amazing one-shot with us; it was simply a magnificent read.

Amazing, I feel connected to this story in a way what with all the insecurities religion can stir... You managed to write something beautiful and insightful, I absolutely loved this

Nice story, this makes me want to read the bible (I've been putting it off for years) but this was my favorite part-Rachel huffs at her, as if she can read her mind. "Rule number one of competitions, Quinn: Always know your opponent. You are in love with me, yet you are also Catholic. Ergo, the Bible was my opponent. It was quite a logistical mission: I found the evidence against, and beat it like Michael Jackson with evidence for."
Rachel is incredibly sweet and Quinn needs her because they balance one another. Its so very rachel to do research, I love it.
