Aw! I think I would have liked to see just a bit more development of the characters and how they actually DID fall in love rather than just knowing that they would... but I like it nonetheless. :)

I read this a long time ago. I though it was pretty awesome.
This is my favourite part:
"We were never actually engaged. Jacob and I were friends since childhood. For as long as I can remember he used to say things like when we're married... or after we've had our first child... as if he thought it were inevitable that we would be married. I always found it amusing, in a very presumptuous way. I never really thought about it seriously, but then he died very suddenly, and I realized I thought it was inevitable too."
That was beautiful.

I really enjoy the quality of your writing, and your story ideas. This was very good as a short story, but it would also be good as a first chapter. I really wanted to read more about them. How they would get to know each other, and deal with life. I wanted to see them become best friends and fall in love, and Edward would realize that he was only infatuated with Tanya. I felt a bit sorry for Tanya, and would wish a happy ending for her with someone else. But the story is excellent just as it is.
I really liked Ethan Church, and I especially love Bright Like the Sun, so I’m looking forward to reading more of your writing. Thank you!
