I cant tell you how much I love this! Young Joe so so adorable and even more so when Adam is there holding him while rubbing his back! Adam is almost fatherly to Joe and it is absolutely amazing...LOVE! Joe loves his big brother and doesn't want to leave his side...love it so much it gives me chills. Part of me wished that Adam would have been the one to carry Joe up to bed and tuck him in though, but it was a super sweet moment either way. Can you tell how much I LOVE a young Joe...I think it is the sweetest thing ever...especially with Adam portrayed as the awesome protective big brother!

So, I'm not sure how many times I've read this still now but it still gives me goosebumps...I just love it so much! Joe at 7 is just simply adorable and clearly loved by his family just makes my heart happy...even with all the heartwrenching angst going on, and I do mean heartwrenching! Such a fantastic story and I am sure I will be reading this one MANY times to come!

You are the queen of angst!...has anyone ever said that? Lol. It's part of why I love all your stories! I love the little vulnerable Joe and his loving family, I love all the angst, and I definitely love the ending! Such an amazingly well written story!

Just found this gem of a story. It's well written and had me on edge till the end. Your story touched my heart on many levels, you see, I am also a lefty and although I was in school in the 70's-80's in my first year the teacher tried to force me to use my left hand.

My father was "corrected" in school for using his left hand, he actually could write with both, but not I believe to the extreme of Watson, since out-of-school...Incidents like that lead to the end of corporal punishment in schools.
