-Hmm…maybe it’s better that you don’t own your own xenomorph. No offense to you, but if Weyland-Yutani can’t control the damn things, what hope do any of us have? ;)
-I notice that it effectively switches from Lex’s to Scar’s POV over the course of the piece, but if you’re going for omnipotent-type POV, this isn’t really an issue. Concerning the piece itself, while I’m not a big fan of the Lex/Scar pairing, I’ll at least grant that it’s well written. Has a sort of ‘homeliness’ to it if that makes sense.

So, having a hard time concentrating because my roommate keeps reading to me from Alex Flinn's deluxe edition of Beastly, but I just wanted to say that if I could, I would buy you a yautja. I might want it for myself, but if I found one, I would send it to you in a nice box with a fluffy bow and everything. Oh, and air-holes. Can't forget air-holes for breathing. I wouldn't want to send you a dead yaitja. You don't strike me as the cutting-up-dead-things-you-love type. )
I know I've reviewed this before, but I just wanted to say that, although this thing is short (too short! Why do you kill me this way? Why?) it's got a great feel to. First of all, that Scar is kinda youngish - not childish or adolescent, but he feels like a young adult. Which he is. You know, since the movie hunt was his coming-of-age thing. And I love the dandelion thing. I didn't know about that, actually - the wish thing. You learn something new every day. And now I'm curious to see how Scar behaves around heating vents, lol.
Kudos for usage of phrases and words like "ethereal ribbons," "scaling icefalls or trekking tundra," "sunshine-yellow flowers," and "summer twilight."
I love the knuckles-on-head thing! LOVE IT! I dunno why, because if Scar was human, that would SO annoy me that he did that to his girl. I dunno. Maybe cuz he's a Predator I don't care so much? And the caress of her mark at the end - eeepies!
So yeah, I love this one, too. Which is why I'm hoping for more AvP goodness from you sometime maybe hopefully. *huggles*

Awwww! That was sweet. But am I wrong, or were there romantic connotations to the cheek touch? The rapping on the head, that could be a friend thing, I guess. But then the thumb-stroke-cheek-touch... I'm sensing a love connection. Am I wrong?

The fact that Scar, who's a big, strong, beefy predator who could rip off a human head with his bare hands, wallows like a happy puppy around heating vents makes me laugh.
So... do they have a thing? In the movie? I wondered, but was never sure.
