for Love The Way You Lie

Burn bill. Burn. Just the fact he drained and raped her than next day he brushed her hair while her and Pam teased about the shaw alcide bought her. Unnerved me.
Great short story.
I couldn't understand how she forgave bill over and over. And eric she blamed him for everything. She couldn't love him for long time. By the time she did was too late. Ch could of fixed this in 13th book but instead pushed her to Sam. Recognizing how she didn't feel worthy of Eric's love because he actually loved her. Sam was easy because she wouldn't have to love him. The real sookie would of plotted and planned with Pam, her allies and family and would of freed eric.
She(ch) dishonored sookie by allowing her character to not grow and heal. By smothering her light and forcing her with Sam. And once again forcing eric to be a slave and taking away his heart.

Effing Brilliant! I don't know if you saw it, but someone created a video of Bill & Sookie clips played over this song and put it on YouTube. The first time I saw it I was struck hard by how much the song described their relationship, particularly on TB. The book was bad enough, but TB just took it to a whole new horrible level. I would be pulling my hair out most episodes. Thanks for giving a voice to where we could all see the relationship going if she wasn't able to pull herself out and wise up.

I think Alan Ball would say that they were trying to show how a woman could get sucked into that, but it turned into a cheap way to wring more drama out of the story as far as I was concerned. If they try to bring him back into her good graces next season, I seriously don't think I'll be able to watch it. I'd feel culpable in some weird way.

You did a great job of voicing the head space she was rapidly heading towards and would have indeed become stuck in. Very moving! Thank you!

Very different. I really like it. Do you have anymore plans for this fic?

I thought your story was very intense and it seemed like you put a lot of emotion into it. Book Sookie seemed to dust Bill off and conveniently forgive him for all the ways he hurt and betrayed her, so it was interesting to see your take on her feelings. Well done and good luck with the contest : )

Beautifully written and I understand for you liking this more than E/S fluff.

As much as I loved reading the fluff you wrote I would take conciser this my fav.

Loved the A/N you gave. Writing something like this is heart wrenching I know, and reading about those woman who are getting abused every day by their intimate partners is painful as well.

Great story, thank you for writing it. :)

My best wishes to you and good luck with with the contest. *hugs*

Thank you for this! I love how willing you are to push the boundaries with this-and really all-your stories. Very different and effective.

Hi luv, it's Bombmichelle. I love that this story echos the truth of co-dependent relationships. The fact that she is just as sick and out of control as he is and though she recognizes it, the will to break the cycle does not exist. At least it does not co-exist with the will to go on.It is addiction in the simplest form and very clearly described in that song and in this story. Bravo!

it's great that you include the information on domestic violence at the end. every way to raise awareness is good! (i worked for a nonprofit that services survivors of domestic violence, so i love when i see people getting the truth out about.) this was an interesting format with the way you worked in the song and with the dream.

good luck in the contest!

Glad it was all a dream. A weaker person, after a chilhood like Sookie might easily fall in such a self destructive pattern.

Kira:

I love the emotion of this dream sequence, and the reality at the end when she realizes she's safe with Eric. The song is a great fit.

Will Sookie ever become Vampire? I know CH has said 'no' but I'm going to keep reading because I want to be surprised.

Hugs, Michelle

Thank you for entering, this is a very powerful theme and you picked a great song. Good luck!

I'd say the first reaction I had was to be speechless. I read it twice just to be sure I understood and caught everything you wanted to transmit to the reader.

Her dream/nightmare is raw with all the feelings Sookie bottled up inside. They always say that lies only lead to more lies and so, her last words to her dying lier feel all the more appropriate: ""I love you," I lie." It's the ultimate lie in Sookie and Bill's relationship, in my opinion.

A beautiful read! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Good luck in the contest.

Wow, bb. That was really powerful. Her internal monologue was fascinating and heart-breaking. I can see why you had to write this. If I had this bubbling around in my brain, I'd néed to as well!

I liked the use of the fire as metaphor, a cleanser of sorts and a destroyer at the same time. You used the canon and TB references beautifully. Well done! Good luck in the contest.

Great song pick, I love Eminem. Great story, full of pain and emotion and loss, gut wrenchingly real and written from the heart. Fantastic.

This was a very strong and real story, Kira. I loved it so much. You weren`t just skating into a difficult area - you really nailed it, voicing the psychology behind it.

I agree with you that Bill is so often excused for things that are just unacceptable - even if he is a vampire (and what kind of excuse it that?). And I think you described so very well all the things he did to Sookie that you just don`t do to the woman you love.

I wish you all the best in the contest and hope you get a lot of readers! I also hope the judges saw what a strong story you entered.
