I really loved thisstory. I, too, absolutely hated the end to the episode. I'm thinking Sterling Beaumon (Jeremy) should come back for another episode!
If you don't mind, would you give my Jeremy story a read? Thanks! http:/www.fanfiction.net/r/6415484/

You are very, very right. What the mother said, or rather what she cited the doctor had told her had bee awful. Even if it's the correct medical terminology (although, duh?), how can one say to a mother who just lost one of her babies, that the other one CONSUMED it. It may twist your preception, right?
Anyway, many killers we see on this show were in one way or another twisted by their parents. The problem is, they are usually beyond the point of help. There's not enough psychotherapy to turn around what Jeremy did, or to make him forget about it and live on, become a better person. All they can do is isolate him from the society now.
I like your approach however, I like how you showed Derek's and Emily's emotions, compassion. You're right, they should have shown some. I guess, maybe, their job makes them harder. :(
