Unlike most wrong-boy-who-lived stories, you portray Dumbledore in just the right way, and I love how Harry was in this story, too. In this latest chapter, I particularly loved Minerva McGonagall's in-character thoughts.
Anywho, I've enjoyed what you've written so far, and I can't wait to find out what happens next! :D

I am loving this story. You said that there were other stories like this around? No way. At least, this is the first time that I have seen a story where NEVEILLE'S twin is the bwl and Harry's in an orphanage. It really is interesting.
I hope Harry doesn't just leave the orphaage without thinking about somehow taking everyone with him or staying there himself.
Also, since I don't know how much of this story you have written or planned yet, I'd like to state what I think should happen when he DOES go to Hogwarts (because we both know that it's happening).
HUFFLEPUFF!
He's just so loyal in this story. It seems like the best choice at this point. Extremely hard working, caring of others... Hufflepuff-like qualities, not to mention he is completely against hurting others, which you don't see much of from the other houses.
Just wanted to get my two-cents in. (As a side note, where does that expression even come from? Is it from, penny for your thoughts, and then, since some thoughts are longer and more complex than others, they were considered to be two-cent thoughts? W/e.)

I a bit confused. So Sirius attacked Petunia, Dudley, and Harry causing a gas explosion or something similar that Harry's accidential magic protected him from? Would it be giving away the plot to say if Lacius was the true BWL?

Yay! Harry has a golin friend. That's awesome. I love this Harry. He's so.. caring. hat about his friends, though, will he really want to leave them to go to Hogwarts? I guess it'll just be one more thing poor Harry has to face.

A nice idea for a nice story. I yhink I'm going to enjoy it. What house will he be in? It seems like Huffepuff- a good, loyal, trusting child is a 'puff (which is a nice idea)! Also- who will be his friends? Neville maybe and...?
