I love Haymitch's motto - the hypocrit. And I laughed out loud at the line "I'd pay to watch though." Tough as nails Madge is absolutely fantastic. Her "discussion" re what she did or didn't do to Tidus was fantastic. And Katniss asking for juice. Myff is something else too. Wow - can you write!

Great - I have lots of stuff to do, and then you say we get to see Gale and Madge fighting in the next chapter. Madge has changed a bit. And go Rory! Nothing like a good brawl. I loved the hypothetical conversation - just great. And the bit when she can't find her lte. pins. You have really pulled me in.

You have really given Gale some - edge. Nice to the ladies and all. The banter with Peeta is great. And Madge, with all the nicknames, cute. Think I know who the pretty blonde in the picture under the pillow is too.

Yeah - It took me a while to start putting it all together, but I think most of the pieces are starting to fall into place. I love how Gale gets airsick and his reunion with his family was great. Still a bit confused about what is going on with Madge, but definitely intrigued. The soldiers' trading of insults felt very authentic.

Wow - very well done. The image of Madge's dad telling Gale to take her while she fights is powerful and then her house exploding is just unbelievable (in a good way). You really captured the chaos of a bombing with your style. I found myself feeling kind of out of breath and panicky. Amazing.

I can't even. I don't know where to begin.
I absolutely, positively ADORE the way you write all of the characters. I mean, Gale? Damn near perfect. Peeta? Adorable. Kat? Spot-on. Madge? One of the best characterizations of any character. EVER.
I can't wait for the next chapter!

New reader here. This is really great. It's the first Gale/Madge story I've read and I really like the pairing. I also love how bad-ass Madge is. Can't wait from more.

I liked it- GalexMadge is a pairing that I've not dabbled in much, just a few recommendations here and there- but this fic was truly great. (At least, what I've read of it so far. I'll continue reading later.)
Yeah. I noticed a few things that could be changed, though.
You switched point of views rather often. Not enough for it to make the fiction unreadable, but it kind of broke apart my...reading-thought.
I also caught a few small grammar mistakes that can easily be fixed.
So, my suggestions would be to get a beta and keep writing. :D

You are just an AMAZING writer! Madge is such a bad ass! i love it! Pretending not to know Katniss, that whole scene was Halirious. "I Do know a Cleatus Aberdeen." (and you know the rest) but dang! that was funny!
Even in an intense moment you have humor! i love it! "No. Cheesy buns, your aim is shit" that made me loose it! and.. also "who could ever say no to that, it would be like kicking puppies in the face." Halarious! i could go on and on! but i have to go to bed! but your halarious! keep up the good work! :D

On the Latin thing-internet translators have a tendency to butcher like whoa (obviously) but my boyfriend took three years of it at school and misses it. He's such a nerd that when I ask him to translate something for me he gets all excited and pulls out his dictionary to do so. Ancedata aside the point is that if you need small translations certain to be grammatically correct, I can always ask him for you. :)
I think the snark with Gale and Madge was a bit over the top but in a good way because it was really freaking funny. And so are Gale's running thoughts on Peeta, seriously. You write the best Gale I've ever read. &hearts

First of all, this is the total opposite of boring. These characters, particularly the way you've painted them, are absolutely interesting and fascinating and all those other -ing's (gerunds, I think, but I might be getting rusty) that mean why yes, my face IS glued to the screen, how'd you guess? In short, don't sweat it. As always the banter is completely entertaining (another gerund!)and though I'm fairly sure you're not going to be threatening to kill of Madge quite yet, I eagerly await the next chapter and the resolution to the cliff hanger. (:
