Well I appreciate that you tried to give a twist to canon but it’s hard to believe that Ebisu, Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon would be the ones to get this mission.

“wondering when that particular bit of information had dawned on him, then shook his head at how obvious it was now that he thought of it” Sorry but you can’t do this... it’s a horrible way of delivering information. It’s akin to “abracadabra now you know it !”
