Love all the little references to other stories. This is hilarious so far.

That was one of the most entertaining opening chapters I've ever read. Awesome.

I really do love the start of this story but I'm struggling to follow it just now. I will be coming back when I have more time and can focus on the words a bit better. Really interested to see where it goes. I will review when i come back to it.

Very good! I’m favoriting this!
Also, I tend to consider ALL stories connected in some way, being all part of one big Omniverse. Though I ‘will’ be adding that term, ‘perpendicular verse’, to my headcanon to describe fics like this one and the Lone Traveler series. Or maybe Crossverse? Mergeverse? Congratulations, and thanks for the contribution. It was a great read.

So, opinions on this are very divided. Some think it's awesome, some think it's horrible, and overall looking at the reviews it's a confusing hodgepodge of contradictory emotions. That's honestly about how I feel about this story- I can't quite decide whether I love it or hate it, but "I don't care much about it and will likely forget it as soon as I move on to the next" is not a viable option. There are elements that put it on my mental list of favorites, but there are also enough elements I didn't like to put it on my never reread list, which is much more exclusive. The really frustrating part is that I honestly could not tell you which bits are which, for the most part. Perpendicular? Yes, but not in the way you tried to explain, at least in my head. The "cutting across different universes" idea is cool, but the perpendicularity of this story I'd say is less to do with that and more with how it interacts with the normal line plot of reactions. xD
I have occasionally reread stories formerly on my never reread list, and I suspect that this may eventually wind up being one of those. I can tell you that it won't be by the same route as the others, though, because those were a matter of having been much more of a scaredy cat the first time I read them and not getting more than halfway through until I tried again much later. One in particular, the one that founded the never reread list, I first tried at about seven years old and didn't manage to finish until I was eleven, maybe even twelve.

Well, I can't in good conscience call this *good* writing, but it certainly is a lot of fun! XD

"A child named Sam and his unnamed sidekickwell, Tolkien always did say he was the real hero, and I'm inclined to believe him. 10/10, great interpretation. Even got Numenor in there. Awesome-sauce.

Well, many parts of this story throughly confused me, but perhaps that was due to my lack of caffeine consumption today.
