Great chapter. Good for Davis. It is nice that Jack saw that he needed and deserved a promotion. Another thing I love how he told him what he needed, not someone who would suck up to him but someone who would be honest with him, even if they did not agree. Thatwas something I loved about SG1. Jack always wanted to know how they felt about things and he wanted their honest opinion. They did not have to agree with him and he did not hold that against them. Sign of a great leader.

I am not (yet!) familiar with your AU scenario, but what I really liked what you wrote and I absolutely agree with you on the topic of major Davis! It's about time :)
I love this more relaxed and smirking version of O'neill you describe, at least that is how he's presenting himself to me.

Nice character this Jamila. Jack with an aide, someone he trusts. He trusts SG1 but would never want one of them to be his aide. Jack trusting does not come easy.
