That was a great little oneshot. I loved your shy, Larry Lion, and Mike was a grade A douche. I know what you mean about the theme parks, as it's the same here in Australia. Almost fifteen years ago we took our three kids (aged 12 and 14 at the time) and we had a ball. Yes, it was expensive, but the rides were fantastic and we'd saved our pennies for the 'once in a lifetime' trip from the other side of the country. Then last year my hubby and I went on a caravanning trip around the country and we stopped in at the theme parks, looking forward to recapturing the magic and memories. Sadly, half the good rides were closed, some permanently, and the prices were beyond ridiculous. Seaworld was still very cool, had even improved, but if we'd known, we'd have saved hundreds of dollars and not bothered with the others. :(

Another way to ID the song is it's also the entrance theme to WWE's The Undertaker, when he was in his "American Badass" phase. Great song.

Reading this was like watching a short movie, following Bella around while she tried to make a hellish date work out, observing her through the eyes of Edward posing as Larry Lion. Your description enabled me to feel the temperature, the sights and sounds around Bella and the pulsing electricity between her and the beautiful young man in the lion costume, so unsure of himself. Wow!

What a sweet, funny story! I really liked it. I love the mental picture of Bella thinking some real creeper is inside the lion suit and then having it turn out to be Edward, *swoon*, who was just so taken with Bella he couldn't stop himself from following her around on her date from hell. Sorry about yours, btw.

Random fact here, strangely enough last week I had lunch with a guy who used to be the Princeton Tiger mascot, and he was a weird dude to say the least. Among other things, he said, "I really like to high five people, a lot!", and proceeded to demonstrate to all within reach. He is now a lawyer and works for a federal appellate judge and thinks he's God's gift to pretty much everything. He's young enough to be my son, but I'd sure as hell hate to go on a date with him if I was his age!
