You are a genius. Really. I love the words unspoken, or rather, the real meaning behind her words.
Correct me if I'm wrong (or I read it too deeply),
"I think I already knew it was impossible before I even started." Obviously, Haru was referring to her affections for Tsuna. Haru's not stupid, but rather, she's hopeful. And this line right here, Haru acknowledges that it really is impossible for Tsuna to return her feelings.
"I gave up as soon as you arrived." I don't think that Haru meant this as Yamamoto's arrival that night (or it's my shipping heart that says this). I think Haru meant this as when she started acknowledging Yamamoto's presence (or when she met Yamamoto :)) ). Something like Yamamoto being an eye-opener for Haru or yeah.
