Everyone's (except maybe Edward's) attitudes are really bugging me. If a person is upfront about whether something is just sex, it is up to the other person to decide whether that's ok with them. They're allowed to hope it becomes more sure, but it is NOT the "just sex" person's fault if the "wants more" person ends up hurt (assuming no one is spewing unnecessarily cruel words etc). If you sleep with someone who says they only want sex but you want more, you're setting yourself up to be hurt. I'm not saying Edward hasn't been kind of a douche or that he shouldn't have expected this to bite him in the ass a thousand different ways, but he hasn't been using people.

So the redhead and the blonde were ‘sluts’? But he’s just misunderstood and hasn’t done anything wrong? That’s just laughable, lol.

God, the misogyny in that room really shone. Edward genuinely believes that he wasn’t doing anything wrong? Would he feel the same if it was a female family member telling the same story? Would Emmet have just let it ride if Ed was his sister? Jeez, the guy would’ve put it up a weeping sore if he’d have got the invite. All this “they knew what the we’re getting into” is absolute bullshit or Alice would not have an issue because her girlfriends that he ‘entertained’ would not have had an issue either. He needs to admit his scummyness and stop believing that it was all good. Poor Bella having to know that everywhere she went with her boyfriend would be filled with the ghosts of past fucks? Wonder if Edward would be happy with that? Somehow I doubt it.

It’s not him that needs to worry, it’s her! This guy sounds like he’d put it up a weeping sore, yuk!

honestly, i did NOT feel that edward should have apologized to alice.
he did nothing wrong. as he said, he took what was freely given.
a lot of girls tell the guys that they are just looking for a hook up but
they secretly hope to get the guy and change him and hang on to him.
so what edward did may be morally sketchy, but he didnot do anything
wrong per se since the girls knew what they were getting into. alice is
way too bitchy and opinionated and instead of blaming the girl is
only blaming her cousin. chances are, a lot of those girls prob hated to
listen to alice bitch and spew her hatred against edward, esp angela.
alice in no way deserve any apologies from edward and i wish bella just
told her to mind her damn business. i hate this part of the story where
you had edward basically beg alice for understanding and forced to tell
her his story. it should have been on his terms, not hers. this is on bella,
she should have supported edward all the way instead of just half...again,
she should have told alice to grow up instead of making edward grovel.

Mannn! That was an emotional angst rollercoaster. This story was really good, only minor things didn't click together for me, but overall loved it. I still felt like bella was being kind of a bitch with condeming edward for his past, but then again most girls, even women, become insecure by guys and let it cloud their judgement. Edward could have also learned a thing a two on hearing someone out, maybe they wouldn't have desolved so fast and it would have definitely been them against "Taz" and she wouldn't have clouded Bella's mind with the shit she spewed out of her mouth.

I know I'm pretty late to the party with this fic, but I only recently stumbled on it. I really enjoyed it. They all seemed like real people encountering real life problems that young adults might face as they grow & mature (even Taz - blaming Edward for why she may have lost a friend, not being mature enough to discuss things face to face with him). This was well written, flowed smoothly, and kept my attention all along the way. I even liked that it was just from Edward's point of view; it felt like we got into his head space more fully than if there was a constant changing of the point of view.
Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us. I'll definitely check out your other stories too.

Hmm, I wonder if Alice will ever learn why Angela stopped talking to her?
Oh, and I figured out the "Taz" nickname- the Tazmanian devil.
Thanks for a great chapter!

Glad to hear "through the door" that Bella was defending Edward. He deserves for someone else besides his brother to be in his corner.

Ahh Bella, you are redeeming yourself in my eyes. First, your "I'm sorry" to Edward, and now your offering him an explanation about your past.

I've just recently discovered this story and am really enjoying your writing. I think that at this point, Edward has a reason to be pissed at Bella and that she owes him an apology, not the other way around. She's the one that pushed him away after their night together making him feel like a one night stand, and then she refused to talk to him - isn't that essentially what Taz considered a fuck & duck? He's been nothing but extremely honest with her.
Hope next chapter has her doing some explaining, not just him. Thanks for great writing!
