Wow, Kat, this story is...wow. Just wow. You've done a fabulous job capturing the essence of Jack Bristow: a man whose life is littered with regret and blame, but who also has hope for the future. The emotions in this story are so real that I felt as if I was experiencing them right along with Jack. Thanks so much for a delightful read!

Very well written. It's great to see someone step into the mind of Jack Bristow. By the way, have you ever read Judyth Hill poetry? (just asking b/c of your title)

Good story. Jack's a hard character to understand (and an even harder one to write, in my experience), but this does a great job of building him up, step by step, into the man we saw in the pilot. Wow.

wow! That was phenomenal. By far one of the best Alias/Jack Bristow fics I've read.
Thanks for the experience.

Your fic reads like a spy novel! You are a very talented writer, keep up the great work.
I loved the look into Jack's mind-he is the best character on ALIAS.

Absolutely stunning! Just brilliantly done. Victor Garber does so much with just a look and you captured what is behind all those looks so beautifully.

Kat, first I must compliment the title. I like it a lot. I also like the story. Jack's my favorite character, and I love reading stories about him. The angst is high and good. ;)
"He marked the envelope Sydney Bristow and ticked the box beneath 'Priority,' then placed it back underneath his bed." Ah, how Jack. One step forward, one step back.
Loved the scenes with Sydney the most.

I was all set with my nice review and all and then IE ate it...argh.
"There were a certain number of assumptions that accompanied Jack Bristow. All of them were true, unless you looked a little deeper."
I loved that line. Absolutely brilliant and so true. I loved what you've done in this fic. I could feel Jack's sadness and pain with the knowledge of all he could've been, but never got the chance to be. I loved the little softie in him that refused to wholly believe Laura's betrayal even though a part of him saw it all along. You portrayed Laura in a different way than I've seen in other fics, but I think it worked wonderfully. Great work.
