Hey, Crimson, I just want to send a generic review for all the FF9 stories of yours I've read: They've all been perfect, or damn near so if they weren't.

Your characterizations are stellar. I don't think I disliked anyone's personalities as you made them out to be. I hope to write an FF9 Novelization, eventually, but your characterizations have both inspired and frightened me, because I wonder if I can hope to make them anywhere as good, lol.

If that wasn't good enough, your storytelling and word usage is beyond probably any fanfiction I've read on here. It's actually given me words to sprinkle into my own fanfics, because they're so good.

I dunno if you'll continue to wrte more stories or not, but I could read any of these stories over and over, cause they are that good.

Thanks for all your hard work.

I enjoyed reading this story so much that now I find myself at a loss of words in naming everything that I loved about it. My apologies.

I look forward to reading more from you.

The rescue part is also thrilling

This was simply amazing. It made me realize how much I adore and love your writing, as well as how much I've missed it. The one singular thing I love the most actually is how effortlessly your words flow together. Your writing takes on a life of its own and it almost seems like your stories write themselves, even though I know that's definitely not the case. :P

Of course I have questions about the particulars but I think I can draw my own conclusions about them. If you thought the details were that important I know you would have included them. This fic is brilliant enough without them though.

Anyways, I can't wait to see more from you. I'm hoping that an update to your ongoing ZiDag is forthcoming! :)

Sincerely,

DragonGirl323

It's strange... for some reason, at the start of the second section, I felt a weird sense of nostalgia. Whether it be from your old works or from the game itself, I'm not sure. Either way, it made me feel like I was meant to read this piece. And I've written fics based on dreams before too, and although they may seem strange they always seem to be the best ones.

Once again you've brought a beautiful piece to the table, and it was written with just the right amount of detail for the reader to be immersed in the story. I like the subtlety, although at the end of the first section when Blank broke the news I was coming up with all sorts of possibilities like "Oh no Dagger's died!" or "Oh no she's getting married!" xD But I loved the way you went with this, and for whatever reason Zidane stayed away for 7 years, you could just sense the utter passion between them when their eyes met again. I loved the emotion in this, it was a very enjoyable read! It's great to see more oneshots from you too! Definately one of my favourites from you.

I don't think there was anything too ambiguous to understand at all. In fact, I applaud the subtlety of the opening, the way the narrative skirts around Zidane's denial, and the way you left us hanging for the big reveal (I knew as soon as that town crier appeared he had no good news!) When it started to get grim and hairy towards the end, that only heightened the suspense, making you wonder what could be important enough to spill that much blood-and for *Zidane* of all people to resort to that.

But then we see exactly why, and it makes perfect sense.

As usual, you have a great way of spinning imagery with the slightest phrases, such as "bright, lancing sparks" and "like a black kiss." I could picture Choco bounding across the stormy setting perfectly, though my favorite part had to be that silence in the hideout right after they broke the news. I just love the image in my head that gave me, there.

You never fail to amaze, y'know? I gotta love it. :)

Lovely!

Ah this was great. So I'm guessing things flamed out between Zidane and Dagger the first time, Zidane left.. and then they meet again later on when Zidane's out to rescue her? Well, either way.. I hope things work out more favorably for them the second time around. They deserve it!

Love this. The imagery in this was beautiful. I really don't know what else to say than that. I absolutely loved this fic.

AHH! I love your FF9 stuff, ALWAYS! This was just so amazing. I can't believe it was a dream! Did anything else happen at the end of your dream?

Man, your action scenes are the best, really puts you ahead of most fanfic writers just in that aspect. I really love how you detailed on Eiko coming to visit- and how you described Garnet and Zidane finally seeing each other at the end. Just something magical.

Love your stuff!
