Wow, I can totally see this, and it's kind of awesome.
A lot of people didn't really like happy Aki when she turned happy after season 2; I say why SHOULDN'T she be happy? I mean jeez she's suddenly living the life she's been dreaming of since she was like five and she has friends and people like her and everything. And poor Crow, he always does seem to come in second place, doesn't he...?
Crow is not one of my favorite characters, but you made him believable and likable and NOT just a Gary Stu designed specifically and only to sell trading cards here, which was quite the breath of fresh air. Of course, I also sort of think that most ships with Aki are absolutely interesting, and I love most of them, including Firebird. It's one of the few times I consistently like Crow, at least when it's done right. You have done it right. This is awesome. Kudos.

Hmmm . . . Well, uh . . . I'll just move right into the review.
For one thing, I'm not a big fan of the title. I don't know. It just doesn't seem to fit the story for me.
Also, the amount of parentheses (sp?) in this kind of bugs me. I was taught that parentheses are only used for nonessential information . . . and a lot of the stuff was pretty essential to me. Not sure about you, though.
The characterization, I think, was pretty good, but I think it sort've collapsed at the end. I'm not sure Aki would suddenly let Crow do that to her after she's been all "Yusei . . . Yusei." Granted, she is stupid, but she does have her priorities in check, I think.
Buuuuuut. Otherwise, this is very good! :3 I like how you went against the "And they lived happily ever after~" ending. Really makes for a dramatic twist.
