Holy fuck. I don’t even know what to say or where to start?! This entire work is outstanding! Honestly, the world within their world that you’ve created is just phenomenal. You deal with some seriously heavy and sensitive subjects beautifully. Nothing feels rushed and everything feels believable and very organic.
I am totally hooked on this and my love for your versions of these characters is immense. How you’ve worked Severus and Hermione’s relationship evolving is incredibly moving as they each battle their own demons and with Snape learning to be vulnerable as well! It’s painfully beautiful and I just need them to have their happy ending because damn do they deserve it. Each character has such soul and such believable emotions it’s awesome to work through with them. I also particularly like your portrayal of Tonks and her friendship with Hermione, it has that big sister energy. Kind of similar to Severus and Minerva as there’s that caring protective side.
The pacing is perfection and you give each character and arc the time they deserve. Really enjoy how you’ve utilised the “secondary characters” Minerva, Tonks, Draco, Narcissa, literally I could list them all because your characterisations are on point. I enjoy the perspective switches too. Nothing is left hanging and everything seems to get tied up. Although there’s major misunderstandings between the two of them I love that you generally don’t let them fester and they’re dealt with fairly quickly. Every time we see Severus’ patronus I die a little inside but it’s a perfect example of how I really enjoy how you’re making me actually feel with them.
Have to add that the comedic relief you’ve sprinkled in throughout is absolute gold. “He can’t even find his pants” that had me practically snorting soda out my nose. Snape’s snarky attitude never fails to amuse me and you’ve got him down perfectly!
This entire masterpiece and its energy is incredible and I am so here for it. I’m an AO3 girlie and I actually started reading this there but when I saw you had more up here I couldn’t resist! I also then binged it in three days and may have slightly neglected my real life responsibilities. No regrets. I actually had to make an account just so I could comment because holy fuck you’re an amazingly talented writer! I love your brain!
