it's been a few years now and I'm rereading your note on the top, I just remembered that Naruto failed 3 times because he tried to graduate early, but because of his clones coming out looking like crap he failed the graduation exam, if he new the shadow clone jutsu he could have graduated early. and yes this is cannon, cause he started the academy at the same time as everyone else and graduated at 12... Like every one else. That's why people in other fics make mention of it, its also funny so there's that.

This chapter was pretty good. No rushing things or cutting corners between Mei and Naruto yet still being wholesome, peaceful, and honest in a good sweet way while having a talk confiding in one another. That is a pretty good build up to a romantic complementary relationship there.
