I don’t read a lot of fanfiction anymore, especially for Harry Potter, because of complicated feelings regarding the material and author. But every so often, I have a snippet of a story caught in my mind and I go back to my favorite stories. One of your other stories was part of that go back for me this past month, and through that I encountered this story. I read through it again last night, and realized that the fact that I read it four times in two weeks meant that I should review, but I am not so good at that, so bear with me. I think you have captured the Marauders perfectly. James, straddling the line of humor and compassion, Sirius, so confident at school, but not so confident when he finds people who care for him, Remus with his big secret, and Peter, with his quirks, but still included, fully-it annoys me when authors make him hated from the beginning, but we have to realize James, Lily, and Sirius trusted him completely, even over Remus at the end, so to speak. And the nuance of the Black family is well done: families are complicated, even the best ones, and of course Sirius had a desire that they would love him too. I don’t feel like I’ve said half of this as well as I could, but thank you, thank you, for a story that so immersed me and kept me company over the past two weeks, and longer, I imagine. Of course, I hope the last chapter comes soon, but please, take care of yourself, this is a trying time for all of us.

Thank you so much for the update! I thoroughly enjoyed it. That last scene was briliant. They are so sweet. Uncle Alphard was a gem, though I hope he didn't make things worse for Sirius. James talent for getting into trouble is unmatched! Thanks again

I thought I left a review for this chapter, but upon rereading it (yes, I love it that much and I always notice new things), I realised I hadn't. Great chapter, as always. Remus' Dad is a sweatheart. Sirius definitely knows or suspects Remus being a werewolf. I wonder if he will discuss it with Remus and/or James. The smoking seems like a terrible idea, I'm very curious to find out how the dinner will play out. Thank you for the chapter and I can't wait to read the next one.
