No I think you got the ending right. At that point in her life, that is a completely in character response from Katniss. Silly Gale should realize that just because love starts out as one form, doesn't mean it stays that way.

Me again, sorry! I just forgot to add this on to my previous review. I think your one-shot really does a good job of displaying their relationship. Like why, for example, Gale could never have told Katniss before the games that he loved her because a) she wouldn't understand like in this story or b) she'd freak out. So it does make me feel sorry for Gale in a way because even though he had so much time to tell her, if he had, it probably would have been disastrous.

That was really good. I loved how Gale was trying to bring it in, all subtle, and how Katniss, as usual, couldn't see it. Maybe you could continue this and make it a K/G 2 or 3 chapter story or something. I know I'd love it. :D

Why,I loved the ending! I could exactly imagine Gale saying that. Too bad for him Katniss is so clueless! But their special bond from the books is really better described as "love between friends", so I think you nailed it perfectly :)
But, I wouldn´t mind if she loved Gale a little more romantically ;) Maybe in the next story... hint-hint
