I was nearly a self taught reader. I started formal piano lessons at age 4, the keys were too far apart. by age 7 I played in public. I hated it. borrowed an older cousins banjo and taught myself the basics in few week at 8. I was 9 and the Beatles hit the radio. I found a used 6 string in a junk shop and with the help of a clerk at the music story got it to tune. He showed me some basic cords and loans me a few of his own music books. That store was on the way home from school so each day I got a few minutes of lessons. then one day I was play one of the display models and managed to sell it. Christmas when I was seven the next before christmas I sold about 22 youth guitars. the store gave me a used six string that was actually nice. it was made in the 1930 and still sounds nice.
My parents never spoke kiddie talk to me or my siblings.
Children step up when parents don't step down.

No, no, no. Harry had to play kamikaze for Emperor Dumbles because that was The Power of Love (TM), which would "vanquish" Koschei The Deathless...err...Voldemerde.
Except that it didn't.
Plus, it would be a really idiotic idea to tell someone like Bill Weasley, a curse breaker, who might just know something about these things. Who might be able to dispose of the problem, totally ignoring The Power of Love (TM) as the "real" solution.

I've loved this story so far, but have to ask, who gives a shit about Hermione accepting Anthony Goldstein as a date/boyfriend?
The story so far is about a kick as frying pan wielding mother taking care of business, the only time personal stuff has come up is a quick tie of a character to Harry.
Just truly wondering why as it just didn't make sense.
