You presented a lot of necessary information here,hard to imagine anyone thinking it was too long or rambling. Claudine's letter was a lovely though poignant touch. (and interestingly enough I read an interview with Charlaine Harris recently where she said the one thing she would change in the books was Claudine's death..so even she realizes what a colossal error that was). The idea of Sookie learning about herself, and getting the necessary training to use that knowledge is so sound. And I would think that even though Eric won't be happy that is leaving, he too would want her to be as strong as possible since living in the supernatural world is exceedingly dangerous...name for her consulting business..that's tough. Something to do with her unique skills obviously.. Maybe "Insights, Inc"?..not very good I know..

I am really enjoying this story, I always thought Sookie should take some time to actually think about things then make some changes so am looking forward to finding out which way you are going to take this story. Keep up the great work and I hope for a new chapter soon!

Understand that she wants to get some control back. But she needs to be honest with Eric..they have a bond and if she just "blips" out (which would surely happen if she leaves this realm), he will think she is dead. Not what you do to someone you profess to love.
